The course will cover a broad spectrum of injuries encountered on the field, including spinal injuries, limb injuries, on-field cardiac arrest, concussions, and facial/oral injuries. Participants learn to swiftly recognise signs and symptoms, assess injury severity, and administer appropriate care in diverse scenarios.

Key focus areas include:

  • Spinal Injury Management: Acquire expertise in stabilising and immobilising the spine, crucial for preventing further damage and minimising neurological complications. Learn proper techniques for logrolling and maintaining cervical spine alignment.
  • Limb Injury Treatment: Develop proficiency in assessing and managing various limb injuries, from sprains and strains to fractures and dislocations. Participants learn to apply splints and bandages effectively to stabilise injured limbs and alleviate pain.
  • On-Field Cardiac Arrest: Master life-saving techniques for managing cardiac emergencies, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs), to sustain vital functions until advanced medical support arrives.
