Approx. 8 hours (4.5 hours: BLS) & ( Anaphylaxis 3.5 hours)

This course combines the BLS sessions which is delivered in the morning - followed by the Anaphylaxis course in the afternoon of the same day. Candidates can attend both courses at a reduced cost of €150. The AHA BLS course provides a 2-year certificate and Anaphylaxis 1-year. Both courses have CEU's and CPD points awarded


Course Details

BLS/AED course details
The course is aimed at ensuring healthcare providers promptly recognise cardiac arrest, give high quality chest compressions and deliver appropriate ventilations as well as providing early and safe defibrillation through the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) within both a team setting and on an individual basis as per the latest guidelines. The course also teaches how to recognise and manage a choking victim. The above areas are taught in the context of adult, child and infant rescue techniques.
            

Anaphylaxis course details


The course will provide healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to deal with life-threatening anaphylaxis and deliver the Immediate Medical care required
The course will improve your skills and knowledge to:
·      Distinguish Allergy v Anaphylaxis using case histories
·      Identify the Epidemiology associated with Anaphylaxis
·      Recognise the life-threatening signs/symptoms of anaphylaxis
·      Demonstrate effective and safe Treatment of Anaphylaxis
·      Discuss the follow up management of these patients
·      Demonstrate drug preparation and administration
